Book Manufacturers’ Institute Announces 2020 Rising Star Award Winner
[ORMOND BEACH, FL—May 19, 2020] The Book Manufacturers’ Institute (BMI), has announced that Cara Lahey of Publishers’ Graphics is the recipient of the 2020 Rising Star Award.
The honor was established in 2019 to recognize book industry professionals who may not be long-standing industry veterans, but are making a positive impact on their companies, in their communities, and in the industry.
Cara Lahey was selected by the BMI Awards Committee from a pool of finalists which included:
- Sara Cameron, LSC Communications
- Rick Bravo, HP
The inaugural Rising Star Award was presented at the 2019 BMI Management Conference on April 29, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In support of Cara Lahey’s nomination, an IPG colleague said, “Cara has proven to be an over achiever as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Publishers' Graphics. During her short tenure, Cara has not only solidified many of Publishers' Graphics relationships with clients, she has made it her mission to strengthen them through strategic business and personal relationship building. Cara has proven through her diligent efforts to meet (and usually exceed) her customers' requests for exceptional service.”
